A: Benefits of using DS-1 or DS-3:
  • DS-1 connectivity has the capacity for 24 voice channels, allowing for signaling of 1.544 megabits per second. This is most cost effective solution for high-volume business users spending $2,000 per month on long-distance services from a single location or generating more than 40,000 minutes monthly.
  • DS-3 connectivity has the capacity for 28 DS-1's with 24 voice channels each, operating at a total rate of 45 mbps. This service is extremely beneficial for volume business users generating 2 million minutes monthly.
Q: How are monthly charges calculated?
A: Each dedicated access pricing request is implemented individually. Monthly charges for dedicated service depend on number of locations customer have, distance of those locations from our network switches and customer commitment agreement. If customer already owns T-1 line equipment, no monthly charges will be assigned.
